The Structure Scarf is worked partly in two color brioche and partly in rib. The needle size is changed, when changing between working two color brioche and rib to maintain the same gauge throughout the work. The scarf is worked from the middle out to the ends, so both ends are finished in the same way. The ends are finished with brioche stitch decreases and a braided string with a pompom at the end.

Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. It is important that you have the same gauge in both rib and brioche stitch, so the scarf has the same width throughout.
