Summer Delight Coaster and Mandala - two patterns in one!

I gave myself a little challenge during my summer vacation - What can I do with 25 g ball of yarn?

The Summer Delight coaster and mandala came to life!

I used Organic Cotton from Krea Deluxe but you can use any cotton yarn within fingering yarn weight. Hook size 3 mm. Measurement coaster 14 cm/ mandala 28 cm.
Perhaps you can try to make it in DK to make it bigger?

This pattern is divided into two part. You can make a coaster/small mandala or you can continue a few more rounds to make the mandala. The first 8 rounds are the same pattern for both!

An other option is to make the mandala into a wallhanging!
