The Sunny Day Motif is back with a new and refreshing update! Originally published in June 2020, you’ll find an updated layout, new photos and a slight adjustment to the instructions to make it flow a little more smoothly. This motif works up beautifully using three colours but as there are seven rounds, you could easily change colours for each for an extra pop.
Use these motifs as coasters, under plant pots to protect surfaces or attach to a chain/ribbon to make a decorative garland. You could also mount it in an embroidery hoop as a lovely home decor piece.
Notes:
- This pattern is written in US terms (find a stitch conversion chart here)
- The finished motif measures approximately 4 ½ inches in diameter
- Gauge is not important for this pattern.
- Refer to the notes within each round for details on the beginning CH counting as a stitch
- In rounds 4 and 6, the grouping of stitches in each CH space will be referred to as a cluster
Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight cotton yarn in 3 colours. I used WeCrochet Dishie (approx. 6 yards for colour A “Blush”, 4 yards for colour B “Begonia”, and 10 yards for colour C “Silver”)
- 4mm hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
