Inspired by the elements in Latvian weaving tradition, Sunweavers carries the promise of warmth and protection through the rows of little suns shining across the colourwork sections and the subtle textures of monochrome panels reminiscent of autumnal skies. Sun is one of the central elements in Latvian folklore and is often depicted in wool weavings of blankets, bed coverings as well as in linen weavings of household fabrics like towels, table cloths and light bed spreads.

Sunweavers is an asymmetrical shawl starting with an increasingly growing arrow shaped construction that transitions into a different decrease and increase ratio at its mid-point to reach the final shape.
Non-superwash yarn with a high wool content is strongly recommended for the pattern to ensure the texture, look and size of the finished shawl.

The pattern includes full written instructions, is also fully charted with an added chart sequence guide (you do not have to consult written instructions if you wish to work from charts only) and includes stitch count checklists for easy reference.

The pattern has been thoroughly tech edited and test knitted.
