Swish Scarf
I designed this scarf to highlight a very special skein of DK weight yarn that I had been saving for a worthy project. I decided that my first brioche design was worthy indeed! This pattern is a great introduction to 2 colour brioche. You will master increases as well as right and left leaning decreases and will be ready to tackle something more ambitious on your next brioche adventure.
Pattern has been professionally tech edited.
Size
Finished scarf is approx 8” wide and 66” long. Size is easily modified.
Yarn
100 g of DK weight yarn in each of 2 coordinating colours.
Sample shown features TFA PureWash DK in MC: OOAK and CC: Charcoal.
Gauge
20 sts and 20 rows = 4” square in brioche stitch. Brioche stitch is super stretchy and gauge is not critical for this scarf. Yardage requirements and finished length will vary if gauge differs greatly from mine.
Needles
4mm and 4.5mm 16” circular needle.
Additional Tools and Materials
tapestry needle, stitch marker.
