Switchback
PATTERN NOTES
Switchback is an all-terrain cardigan great as an outer layer whether you’re hiking up a mountain or relaxing by a firepit. It boasts striking colorwork and cozy details such as the shawl collar and folded sleeve cuffs. This relaxed cardigan is knit in the round from the bottom up. The body and sleeves are worked separately and joined together at the underarms. The front opening of the cardigan is steeked. After steeking, stitches are picked up along the neckband and knit with short rows to create a shawl collar. One-row button-holes and a tidy I-cord bind off give this timeless garment a professional finish. The buttons shown are the Summit Buttons by Katrinkles.
When working the body, be sure to thoroughly read through Front Neck Shaping section and Raglan Shaping Section. Neck shaping and Raglan shaping occur at the same time.
