Construction
Syrphidae is a shawl designed with the typical construction of Shetland Isle Shawls. The lace edge is worked separately in a long band of lace.
After knitting the edge, stitches are picked up onto the yarn over stitches. The short rows shaping gives a long and shallow form to this shawl and with this form you can wear it like a scarf or draped like a stole around your shoulders

Construction
Ce châle a été conçu selon la méthode typique des châles shetland en commençant par la bordure qui est tricotée séparément. Les mailles sont ensuite relevées pour former le corps du châle.
Les rangs raccourcis sans aucune diminution donnent une forme longue, peu profonde et élégante à ce châle. Ce châle peut alors être porté comme une écharpe ou tout simplement drapé et noué sur les épaules.
