This must be the easiest scarf in the world to make but the effect is quite dramatic. Wear it round your neck, on your head, or round your waist.
If you can make a chain and double crochet (UK terminology), you can make this. You don’t even need to count the stitches.
Make it any yarn. I think lightweight thick yarns work best. You need a little more patience if you use thinner yarns. In my projects you can see Tail-odds-and-ender which is a version made entirely from oddments of yarn.
The pattern contains suggestions for several possible variations.
This is one of four crochet patterns in Neck and Neck … and Neck and Neck. It was first published on the Woolly Thoughts website in 2005.
