This design is workable in any weight of yarn with the hook size corresponding to the yarn used, though the yardage requirements will differ should you choose a different weight. A fingering or lace weight yarn will result in your finished piece being more scarf-like in size (narrower and shorter). Choose a heavier weight yarn and your piece will be wider and longer. Add or remove a pattern repeat or more to customize to your needs.
