Knit a bit of American Southwest ~ choose from five shawls and two cowls.
We all love mosaics! I wanted to emulate a southwest textile with this design, and to include lots of yummy fringe. It is a standard top-down triangle, with the mosaics worked only from charts. Link to a great fringe-making video is included.
The design is suitable fingering or light sport weight.; be sure to adjust your yarn requirements when making substitutions.
Materials used for sample (weighs 192g ~ 62g is the fringe):
3 skeins Coriander Heather
……(used 94g for shawl & 42g for fringe ~
……….appr 71% of total weight)
1 skein Grizzly Heather
……(used 8g ~ appr 4% of total weight)
1 skein Brindle Heather
……(used 16g for shawl & 20g for fringe ~
……….appr 19% of total weight)
1 skein Douglas Fir
……(used 12g ~ appr 6% of total weight)
