Looking for a great textured crochet dishcloth that works up super quickly? Try this textured crochet dishcloth using post double crochet!
I wanted a dishcloth that had a lot of texture so it could really get in there and get the job done, so I decided to use post double crochet stitches to achieve this.
Alternating post double crochet can give you very different results, from a ribbed look to a basketweave, but this is more of a woven fabric-look that I really enjoy and that really works well for a textured crochet dishcloth!
Cotton is definitely the best yarn to use for crochet dishcloths, so choose one that is durable and washes well.
For my sample here I used Lion Brand Mako Cotton, which I adore, but it does have to be hand washed, so be aware of that if you decide to try it.
You can use any cotton yarn that is worsted weight – some that I recommend are Lily Sugar n Cream, Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton or We Crochet Dishie. Any of these would make excellent crochet dischloths that last!
