Textured Tunisian Mitts
These delicate fingerless gloves are worked with two strands of laceweight yarn held together.
The body of the mitts are worked in a textured Tunisian Crochet Honeycomb stitch, and the thumb is worked in the contrasting Tunisian Knit Stitch.
The Mitts are worked flat and then joined together with a flat crochet slip stitch seam.

Hand circumference = 18.5cm/7.25 inches
Length = 15.25cm/6 inches
MATERIALS
4.5mm Tunisian Crochet Hook
3.5mm Crochet Hook
Approximately 130 yards of laceweight yarn in A (Isager Alpaca 1, shade Sky)
Approximately 130 yards of laceweight yarn in B (Rowan Kidsilk Haze, shade 00653 OR Debbie Bliss Angel, shade Denim OR Isager Strik Silk Mohair, shade 28)
This pattern requires 2 strands of Laceweight yarn to be held together. One yarn will need one to be a smooth texture such as Alpaca, and the other will need to be a fluffy texture such as a Mohair, to create a cosy texture.
The yarns don’t have to be the same colour, they can be 2 different colours, as when they are held together, they will create a new colour. See the examples in the photos which show the different yarn combinations I have used to create 3 different results, all using the same yarn for Yarn A.
