The 2016 Countdown Hat
FALL OFFER: Upon purchase of 3 of my patterns, you get the least expensive one for free! Offer valid until November 30, 2016!
A stranded colorwork hat inspired by the embroidery motifs of Greek folk costumes. I am a fan of embroidery but, as you have probably guessed, I like knitting so much more than stitching! Sometime ago, I came across a book with traditional Greek embroidery motifs and thought, why not isolate a stitch pattern I like and make a stranded colorwork pattern to knit? One thing led to the other and now I’m happy to present the first in a series of colorwork patterns inspired by the beauty of these traditional motifs. This hat includes an easy two-color ribbing, a small simple chain –like pattern and a tree-like pattern with a Λ on top, so it naturally reminded me of December and the countdown to next year. I hope you will enjoy knitting it as much as I did!
