This is the second sock in The Series of Hope Socks. The first sock, The Booby Sock, has raised approximately $52,000 for Susan G. Komen for breast cancer research. Skacel donated $25,000 of that total!!!

Now, Karin has had the most gorgeous shade of teal especially dyed for The “Eggstra” Special Sock to help the crusade to defeat ovarian cancer. ALL MONEY from the sale of this sock kit and/or pattern will go to the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research.

The kit - which includes the yarn, the beads, the pattern & information from the Marsha Rivkin Center, sells for $20. The pattern, which will be sent as a pdf, sells for $7.50.

The Cuff ~ This is a cable cuff just because I like it!

PATTERN BAND ONE - The circle with the cross ~ this symbol represents the earth and the Roman goddess, Venus. It also represents women.

PATTERN BAND TWO – This pattern band represents your uterus, your ovaries and your eggs.

PATTERN BAND THREE – This pattern band represents women with heart, united from all corners of the world ~ north, south, east and west. We are united to help cure ovarian cancer. And, most importantly, this pattern band reminds us to know the signs & symptoms of ovarian cancer; and, to go to our doc’s office and get our annual pap check!!! And, this band shows all of us it that wonderful position getting our pap tests. Even shows the doc’s head coming at us :)

STAR TOE - I decided to use a version of the star toe on this sock since I feel ALL women are definitely stars!
