The idea behind gradients is brilliant. I find the many versions fascinating. When it comes to patterns I love it when a gradient kit/set flows in an unexpected way whether it’s with slipped stitches, wrapped stitches, or irregular stripes. The Florid Wrap combines all three.

Details: The shawl is cast on along the short edge and after the initial edging is worked the shawl gets a biased shape from decreasing on one edge while you are increasing on the other. The lace/cable pattern is worked over 4 rows which gives the wrap a sense of movement and flow. The lace pattern can be challenging at first.
