The Heart and The Crown
This pretty cowl was inspired by a motif from an Arts & Crafts period faience vase. Employing the stranded knitting technique, the pattern uses only 2 colors per round, making it a great entrée for those new to stranded colorwork. The cowl can be easily adjusted for size by adding or subtracting repeats. Use more or fewer colors as well to make the look truly your own.
As written, the small cowl pattern uses approx. 276 yards (30 yds Color A; 117 yds Color B; 79 yds Color C; 51 yds Color D). The large cowl/capelet uses approx. 753 yds (138 yds Color A; 201 yds Color B; 138 yds Color C; 138 yds Color D; 138 yds Color E).
