The Larklynn Hat is a convertible hat that when worn as written is a slouchy hat. If you fold the brim in half, fits like a beanie! There is no gauge as the hat is worked from the brim up, so you can make sure to size the brim to your individual needs.

MATERIALS
5.0mm crochet hook for worsted weight
6.5mm crochet hook for bulky weight
Worsted: 210 yards worsted weight yarn, example shown in hand dyed yarn by Sweet Pea and Sparrow 
Lion Brand Heartland has also been used as well as Malabrigo Washted
Bulky: 109 yards light bulky weight yarn, example shown in Premier Colorfusion . Another option would be worsted weight held double.

GAUGE
The stitch pattern used in the body of the hat is a multiple of 6. As long as you have a multiple of 6, this hat is totally customizable to fit any size head.
The overall measurements of the piece: 9 1/2” tall and 8” wide on the body of the hat for both yarn weights.
