The Layne Blanket is a baby blanket designed to use one skein of Lion Brand Pound of Love yarn. The body of the blanket is a simple repeat that is easy to memorize and works up quickly to create a lovely looking lace design. The border, while a little more complicated, is easy enough for a beginner crocheter to do. The finished blanket would be perfect as a spring/summer blanket, especially if you chose to make it out of a lighter weight yarn.

Gauge: the gauge is 4 repeats and 8 rows to 5” with the indicated yarn and hook size.

Difficulty Level: Easy. Stitches included are sc, dc, hdc, and sl st. The pattern is written with plenty of explanation given.

The finished product as described in the pattern is approximately 39” x 31”. Instructions are given on how to increase or decrease the size of the blanket to your liking.
