DESIGN NOTE REGARDING SLEEVELESS VERSION: If you are making the sleeveless version of this sweater, in order to strengthen the armhole, you can follow the directions for making a sleeve, but instead of knitting the sleeve, simply purl 2 rounds and then bind off. Or, you may also follow the pattern directions, however, the above instructions make a more structured finish.
