‘The Lotus Pool’ crochet shawl pattern uses assigned pooling yarn to designate the placement of beautiful floral stitches to create a stunning and unique triangle shawl. A great project that’s easy to pick up and put down and work with the TV or a podcast in the background.

Materials
You will require approximately 200g / 850m of fingering weight / 4 ply assigned pooling yarn with a ‘long zip’ and a 4mm crochet hook.
The item shown uses 2 x 100g skeins The Wool Kitchen Long Zips Fingering 4ply in shade Cherry Blossom. 75% Merino, 25% nylon sock. 100g skein = 425m

Finished Size
The finished shawl measures approximately 165cm in wingspan (widest point) by 48cm deep at the deepest point, after a gentle blocking.

Skills
This shawl pattern assumes basic crochet knowledge and is quite a basic overall pattern once you get into the simple increases. It works with ‘assigned pooling’ yarn so part of the pattern is driven by the yarn.

It uses basic double crochet and the ‘mini-lotus’ stitch which is made up of puff stitches. Written instructions for the special stitches and a video tutorial (right handed and left handed) to accompany the pattern is included.

The pattern is written in English using standard US crochet terms.
