I grew up on a farm in Sweden, on this farm all the fields had their own names, these names where probably several hundred years old. One of the largest fields was, and still is, named Grottestycket. There is a very old oak three next to the field, and one time my father hunted for crows there, and then served it for dinner to surprised relatives from Stockholm. This memory inspired me to make this design.

Size: female large, men´s medium
Needles: A set of double pointed needles 2,5 (US 1,25) or 3 (US 2,5)
Yarn: About 50 grams of fingering yarn in two contrasting colours.
Gauge: 28 stitches/10 cm.
