I’m so happy that you found my Old Fashioned Beanie! I wrote this pattern because I was itching to make something, classic, relatively simple and adaptable to different sizes. I see this hat as the PERFECT winter hat for anyone. The 1x1 brim makes for a super stretchy fit, that can accomodate really ANY size head, just with a different fit. The pattern, as written is one size fits most (with a different fit look on each size — So, on a youth size head, this hat will fit snugly at the brim, but be slouchy up top. Conversely, it will fit as a men’s hat, but as a beanie.) As a mom of two littles who is always on the go, this hat is the perfect one to keep in my bag. (Just for Fun: See my whole little family in the same hat below.) It fits all of us, and is pretty cute if I can say so, myself!

There are also instructions to adjust this hat to other sizes (a simple increase or decrease in Cast On by 8 sts).
