This pattern is the distant cousin of M.C. Esher’s Favorite Bead Crochet Necklace (also on my design page here on Ravelry: (http://www.ravelry.com/designers/linda-lehman), in that it can cause some of the look of “optical illusions”. The Pharoah’s necklace is comprised of only three colors making it a simple project for those of you that perceive yourself as “color challenged.” It is crocheted 15- around. The one in the sample is finished with a manufactured clasp, however, there are instructions contained within the pattern for alternative ways of finishing the project.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a good working knowledge of the slip stitch method of bead crochet)
