Thornhill Cowl
This gorgeously soft indulgent cowl was inspired by Saul Bass’s title sequence for North by Northwest.
Which way to go? Who can be trusted?
Wear it with either side showing; it’s completely reversible (as are Thornhill’s feelings for Eve!).
Pattern is shown in Little Red Bicycle Penny Farthing Sock, Color A Basque, 1 skein & Color B Vixen, 1 skein. This yarn has been discontinued.
Recommended yarn substitutions:
Sincere Sheep Cushy Fingering, Color A Bare, 1 skein & Color B Kung Hey Fat Chow, 1 skein
or
Knitted Wit Cashy Wool, Color A Naked, 1 skein & Color B Black Magic, 1 skein
Yardage required reflects yardage based on total weight of cowl. Pattern requires one skein of each color. If you’d like a cowl with a larger circumference, increase in repeats of 16 sts (which works out to be about 2.25” / 5.5cm) and increase your yarn requirements proportionately.
Required Skills: Knitting in the round; stranded colorwork; kitchener stitch (grafting); provisional cast on; reading charts
