Toadstool Square
Add a touch of woodland whimsy to your next project with this eye-catching crochet square. It’s a fun and absorbing make that’s perfect for afghan blankets, cushions or on its own.
The pattern
The Toadstool Square uses the tapestry crochet technique, where you carry the unused colours under your stitches. Along with written instructions, the pattern is fully charted and comes with detailed photo-rich notes.
Crochet terminology
The pattern is written in UK crochet terms. A conversion chart to US terms is included.
Level of difficulty
Intermediate: basic stitches, some fiddliness, a bit of concentration required. But there is plenty of help in the pattern if you are feeling adventurous. Feel free to email me if you have any queries.
Measurements
Using 4ply/fingering weight yarn and a 3mm hook, your square will measure 13cm x 13cm (5in x 5in). But you can substitute any weight yarn and the sized appropriate hook.
