Just in time for Fall, this fun Trailing Leaves scarf is created using interlocking nets of triangles, using lots of floating vertical and diagonal stitches, with dangling leaves and picots at each end! This pattern can be more than just a scarf, though! Using your favorite yarn and hook, by just changing the number of design repeats in width and length, you can create a placemat, table runner, or even an afghan. What will you make?

Gauge:
8-1/2 triangle mesh sts = 4”
9-1/2 rows = 4”

Yardage:
Two 200g fine-weight yarn cakes were used, with the main color starting from the outside and the contrasting color starting from the center. Yardage was removed from the middle of each yarn cake to avoid same-color overlap in the center of the scarf.

This pattern is written in U.S. terms. Additional terms and symbols are used to define the triangle mesh stitches and floating stitches for this project.
