An old Scots term for the game of noughts and crosses gives its name to this warm hi-lo winter throwover featuring allover OXO cables.

Gauge
34 sts and 32 rounds to 10cm / 4in over cable pattern in the round and back and forth using gauge-size needle. Use 4mm needle as a starting point for swatching. (Swatching instructions are included in the pattern)

Pattern notes
This hi-lo, boxy throwover begins with knitting a strip of rib for the back, which is joined to the front rib and then worked in the round. The body is worked to the underarms following an allover OXO cable chart, with a set of increases creating slightly capped sleeves, which are integrated into pattern. Front and back are separated, and the upper body is shaped and worked back and forth. The shoulders are joined with a three-needle bind off, and 2x2 rib completes the neck and armscyes.
