Inspired by this “vine stitch” lace pattern that I have found on a vintage knitting book. This is a light sweater, whit an all-over lace front and in vibrant color. Perfect for these late summer days!

This sweater is knitted from the bottom up, in the round, and seamlessly. From the armhole on, the front and back are worked separately, back and forth, up to the shoulders. The shoulders are shaped with short rows and joined with a 3-needle bind-off. The sleeves are worked from the top-down, from the picked up stitches around the armhole, and shaped with short rows. The lace pattern is described in charts and written instructions.

Size XL is available for free, courtesy of the brand Rosários 4, and available to download on their website.

YARN: 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6) balls of Bairro Alto from Rosários 4, colour 21 (100% cotton; 100 g; 285 m).
GAUGE: 23 sts and 35 rows – 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needle, washed and blocked (it’s important to wash and block your swatch in order to get the correct gauge).
NEEDLES: 3 and 3.5 mm circular needles (if necessary, adjust the needle size to match the gauge).
NOTIONS: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn.
SIZES: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 85 (94, 103, 116, 125, 133) cm of final bust measurements; with approximately 6 cm
of positive ease.

Inspirada no padrão do ponto Trepadeira que encontrei num antigo livro de tricot. É uma camisola leve, com a frente totalmente rendada e uma cor vibrante. Perfeita para estes últimos dias de verão!

Esta camisola é tricotada de baixo para cima, em circular e sem costuras. A partir da cava as frentes e costas são tricotadas separadamente. Depois de unir os ombros com um remate a 3 agulhas, tricotam-se as mangas a partir de malhas levantadas ao longo das ourelas das cavas. A cabeça da manga é formada com carreiras encurtadas.

AMOSTRA: 23 ms e 35 carrs – 10 x 10 cm em ponto jersey com agulha 3.5 mm, lavada e blocada (é importante lavar e secar a amostra pois a contagem de malhas pode alterar com a primeira lavagem).
AGULHAS: Agulhas circulares de 3 e de 3.5 mm (se necessário, ajuste o número da agulha para obter o valor da amostra).
ACESSÓRIOS: Marcadores, agulha de tapeçaria, lã de desperdício.
TAMANHOS: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL.
