The Tuckoe Scarf is made from exceptionally soft wool and is named for Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers, New York. When I was a kid we would go there to go ice skating. For the longest time I couldn’t quite pronounce “Tuckahoe” calling it “Tuckoe”
.
I remember being excited to see the leaves changing color because that meant it was almost ice skating season. Driving up the Saw Mill River Parkway and seeing the colors of fall to go ice skating is one of my happiest memories. This scarf is a celebration of that time and the drop stitches remind me of the tracings on the skating rink⛸✨
