The shawl is a crescent shape, knitted top-down, alternating sections of garter stitch with sections of short-row lace ((no wraps). The pattern can be worked from written instructions or charts. The pattern is available in 2 sizes.

When selecting yarn, opt for tonals or speckled options as your contrast color (CC). Avoid heavily variegated yarns, as they can overshadow the lace details.

YARN: Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply
(100% Superwash Merino, 400 yd /110g)

• Main Color (MC) - navy - Cascara - 1 (2) skeins
• Contrast Color (CC) - coral - Devoted Idea - 1 skein

Or any similar fingering weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors

NEEDLES: US #4 / 3.5 mm circular needles
(or as required to get the gauge)

NOTIONS: darning needle.

GAUGE: 18 sts x 32 rows = 4” in a garter stitch. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect yardage and a finished size if different from above.

SIZING: Small - 72” x 18”, Large - 90” x 27”.

• Large print (8 pages, 20 pt), the version with big letters for tablets and e-readers; also for those knitters who have difficulties reading small font on paper.
