I have got my inspiration from one of lovely outfits (you will jump to Instagram) by Eiko Kadono, Japanese child book author of «Kiki’s Delivery Service». She wears a dress with fine plaid pattern in black and white, and over it a vivid green cardigan. Begining with this image, I have knitted a sweater with abstract color yoke pattern which has a kind of traditional Icelandic style. During the knitting, stranded color pattern has changed and now it became more like a twinkle pattern.

You can knit this sweater in 2 or 3 colors. By changing colors of dots in each round, you can use more colors for your project. There are drowings on page 5 and 14 for you to plan your color combination with colored pencil or painting app. You can also use fluffy yarn like mohair or boucle yarn as a contrasting texture. I hope you have fun by finding your favorite combo and enjoy knitting!

4 mm / US 6 / JP 6 circular needles as main needle, 3.5 mm / US 4 /JP 5 as smaller needle for neck, hem and cuff ribbing. Adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge.

Gauge

19 sts x 27 rows = 10 cm /4“, with main needle in stockinette stitch after wet blocking.

このパターンは「魔女の宅急便」の作者, 角野栄子さんのお洋服 （Instagramの画像）から, インスピレーションをいただきました. 彼女が着ていた白黒の細かい格子模様のワンピースと, グリーンのカーディガンのコーディネートがかわいくて, そこからイメージを膨らませて, アイスランドの伝統的なセーターのような編み込み模様を編むことにしました. セーターという形に落とし込むうちに, 最初に頭に思い浮かべていた模様とは違うものへと変化を遂げ, 星空のような, 線香花火のような丸ヨークが完成しました.

セーターの模様は, ２色, もしくは３色で編むことが出来ます. ドットの色を１段ごとに変更することで, さらにたくさんの色を使って編むことも可能です. 5ページと17ページに塗り絵がありますので, 編む前に色鉛筆, もしくは塗り絵アプリを使って, 色の組み合わせを考えるのに使って下さい. ドットとギザギザの部分に, モヘアやループヤーンのような起毛糸を使って, 素材のコントラストを見せるのも素敵だなと思っています. お好みで様々なアレンジを楽しみながら編んでいただけると嬉しいです.

Me he inspirado en los preciosos conjuntos (este enlace te llevará a Instagram) de Eiko Kadono, la escritora japonesa del libro infantil «Kiki’s Delivery Service» conocida en español como <> o <>. Lleva puesto un vestido de pequeños cuadros blancos y negros y, encima, una chaqueta de un verde brillante. Inspirada por esta imagen, empecé a tejer un suéter de canesú con dibujos abstractos de estilo más o menos islandés tradicional. Mientras lo tejía el dibujo fue cambiando y ahora es como un centelleo (“twinkle”).

Puedes tejer este suéter en 2 o 3 colores. Si cambias los colores de los puntos en cada vuelta puedes usar más colores en tu proyecto. Hay dibujos en las páginas 5 y 15 para que puedas planear tu combinación de colores usando lápices de colores o una aplicación de colorear. También puedes usar lana “peluda” como mohair o lana de bucle para crear una textura contrastante. ¡Espero que te diviertas encontrando tu combinación favorita y disfrutes tejiéndolo!

이 패턴은 «마녀 배달부 키키»를 쓴 어린이책 작가 카도노 에이코님께서 입으신 옷(인스타그램 이미지)에서 영감을 받았습니다. 섬세한 흑백 격자무늬 원피스에 초록색 카디건을 맞춰 입으신 모습이 정말 멋져 보였어요. 그 이미지에서부터 출발해서 아이슬란드 전통 스웨터 스타일의 배색 무늬를 뜨게 되었습니다. 그 무늬를 요크 스웨터 형태에 적용하면서 처음 머릿속에 떠올랐던 것과는 다른 형태로 변화를 거듭한 끝에 밤하늘 같기도 하고, 여름밤에 즐기는 폭죽놀이의 반짝이는 불꽃 같기도 한 요크를 완성했습니다.

반짝반짝 스웨터 무늬는 두 가지 또는 세 가지 색으로 뜰 수 있습니다. 점무늬의 색을 매단 바꿔서 더욱 다양한 색을 쓸 수도 있겠지요. 뜨기 전에 색연필 또는 휴대전화 애플리케이션을 써서 어떤 색을 배합할지 고려해보실 수 있도록 5쪽과 14쪽에 밑그림을 넣어 두었습니다. 점무늬와 톱니무늬 부분에 모헤어나 루프실 같은 기모실을 사용해서 소재의 대비를 드러내는 쪽도 멋있을 것 같아요. 원하시는 대로 다양한 배합을 즐기면서 떠주시면 좋겠습니다.
