The Unicorn Over the Rainbow Tea Cosy is a cute tea cosy that is bright and cheerful.

The main theme for the tea cosy was that classic song ‘Somewhere over the rainbow’ and unicorns.

Having already designed a unicorn tea cosy, I wanted to design something a bit different. I imagined people dressed in unicorn onesies, somewhere over the rainbow; happily sitting on clouds, admiring the view.

There is only one unicorn on this tea cosy, but you could have up to three or four, interacting with one another. And they could be made to look like people you know, which would be a lot of fun and wound make great gifts.

The rainbow is knitted with a raised effect which is achieved by making tubes which make perfect insulation. The cloud is worked in a drop stitch pattern and just looks amazingly cloudlike.

This tea cosy is a large sized tea cosy that covers a large Price and Kensington teapot that holds ten cups of tea, a perfect size for family use.
