This pattern collection includes three cuff down, short row heel sock patterns which have been created to be ‘vanilla’, or easy straightforward knitting.

But with a bit extra! These three patterns have been created to use those gorgeous sock sets and bits of special leftovers.

They are called Fair-Isle-Y Simple (perfect beginner stranded colourwork), Stripes for Days (fun stripes in two colours on a favourite backgrpund colour), and Colour Dipped (a new twist of the classic contrast heel and toe sock! If you love a fade, ypull2love these).

There are instructions included for a German short row heel, or use the Fish Lips Kiss Heel, which is a separate purchase from the Soxtherapist.

And…because I like extra…I’ve included 6 Add-On options! Make your socks in Vanilla as it Gets….or choose from the 5 other ribbing patterns to spice up the foot and/or leg of your sock.

Skills Required
German Twisted Cast-on (or your preferred stretchy CO), working in the round, knit, purl, German short rows or Fish Lips Kiss Heel, decreasing, stranded colourwork knitting, kitchener stitch to hraft together the toe stitches.

Stripes for Days: 1 x 100 g/400 yds, Knotty Pine Fiber Co., Bighorn Sock, 80% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon, in the Olive Pine colourway for MC.
1 x 100 g/400 yds, Woolberry Fiber Co Berry Sock, 80% SW BFL, 20% nylon, in colour Caramel Mocha for C1.
1 x 100 g/400 yds, Woolberry Fiber Co Berry Sock, 80% SW BFL, 20% nylon, in colour Sweater Weather for C2.

Colour-Dipped: 1 x 100 g/400 yds, Woolberry Fiber Co., Berry Cashmere, 80% SW Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10%
nylon, in colour Pumpkin Patch for MC.
1 x 20 g/80 yds, Woolberry Fiber Co., Berry Cozy Sock, 80% SW Merino, 20% nylon, in colour Twilight for CC.

Yardage: 180 (240, 300, 350, 410, 460) yds/ 165 (220, 274, 320, 375, 420) m TOTAL fingering weight yarn. Yardage is an estimate and is impacted by yarn used, knitter’s gauge, length of sock foot and/or leg knitted. Sizes 1 - 4 for both Fair-Isle-Y Simple and Colour Dipped use one 20g mini skein, and Stripes for Days will require 2 x 20g mini skeins. Sizes 5 & 6 will require 30g of contrast colour for Fair-Isle-Y Simple, Colour Dipped, and 1 of the contrast colours for Stripes for Days.

Suggested Needles:
2.5mm/US 1.5, 80cm/32” length for magic loop for the stockinette stitch section OR size(s) needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 34sts and 44 rounds/10cm or 4”, in the round, in stockinette stitch.
