Varling Sweater
Varling s the perfect layering piece for the beginning of the warm season.
Vår means spring in swedish and -ling comes from the german word for spring “Frühling”!
Description: You work in the round from the hem upwards working seersucker stitch pattern on the
front and back, and stockinette stitch during the side panels. You then bind off stitches at the
underarm and separate body into front and back, and later into left and right shoulders. Shoulder
seams are joined together using a 3-needle bind-off. You pick up stitches for the sleeves and knit them
in the round using stockinette stitch, and then finish them with an interesting cuff and tubular bind-off.
Finally, you pick up stitches for the neckband and work rows of stockinette stitch for a roll-edge neck.
