Warm Hands
These mittens are part of the Living Lightly collection. This collection of patterns has a waste-free, use-what-you-have approach to knitting in the hope that we can create beautiful items with a low impact on our planet.
These mittens use partial balls of fingering weight/4 ply yarn in two colours to create a pair of mittens that complement each other, but are deliberately different.
The colour work is random. There is no specific chart or pattern, instead you just choose for yourself when you want to change colours and in the process create a pixellated, random effect in the fabric. No pair of mittens will be the same!
Three sizes are available and correspond to an Adult small, medium, and large. The length of the mitten is easily customisable.
Techniques used:
- simple increases and decreases
- working in the round
- working with 2 colours per round (simple colour work)
