Winter Currents
Winter Currents is inspired by the ever changing beauty of an untamed river currents creating the most beautiful tapestry of water’s eternal movement. Steep, sandy banks, deep, dark water, deceiving underwater patches of shifting sand, whirlpools hiding under the upper currents, meandering, sharp turns and occasional peaceful pooling of calm water. Imagine all of it together and that’s Gauja - the river in Latvia I grew up next to watching its run through the seasons. This is yet another design inspired by my hometown and by memories etched deep in my heart.
This generously sized scarf consists of more intricate cabling and is worked flat. Cable pattern instructions come with the written description and a chart. It is an addictive knit and once you get into the cable groove, it is really hard to put it down.
This pattern includes written instructions and also a charted portion of cable pattern repeat.
