Woven Coziness
This is a triangular shawl, starting at one peak. Increases are worked on one side only. Knitting this piece turns out as a quiet and mindful process. The sections in the lacy slip stitch pattern provide structure. You can work the shawl in one color, use 2 colors for the main stitch pattern or play with colors in the different sections. Matching a certain gauge or yarn weight are not critical, though you should use matching weights throughout the work. We used a light DK and a fingering weight and worked the sections in fingering a bit looser. Thus, it is easier to use the same weight throughout the entire piece. We recommend using a fingering to a DK weight.
And it is recommended to swatch before you start the work to see how the yarn(s) work out in the stitch patterns. In fact, swatching will save you time.
This shawl can be worked up to any size, depending on the yardage you have.
Measurements are given in both cm and inches.
For the prototype, we used the following yarns:
1. Used as MC - Light DK Weight

Needle size is a recommendation, choose the needle which works best for the yarn-stitch-combination.
