The X-capade Cardigan is a truly unique cardigan, and looks WAY more complicated than it is. A crocheter will learn four different ways to increase a row length, use foundation stitches to create the arm opening, and two methods for decreasing a row length. You’ll also learn the x-stitch, and two chainless starting stitches. As a size-inclusive crochet cardigan, it can be made to fit all body sizes, and styles.

This is a great project to let a long striping yarn take center stage, or grab you color coordinating scrap yarn to make a cardigan with a truly unique hemline. This works up well in a color blocking or solid color too.

You can use your favorite shawl pin to choose the front of this cardigan below the bust, or tuck one side at the shoulder and the other side at the other shoulder. Pairing a belt with this cardigan offers another styling option too! Adjustments can be made for the sleeves to meet your style preference.
