Our YUKI Collection is a design collaboration between Japanese knitwear designer Yuki Kushida and Tanja Lay. Deceptively simple geometric shaping unifies this line, in some cases with surprising results.

YUKI No. 5 is a rectangular shaped turtleneck slipover vest. It is made of three different types of yarns: ITO Awayuki (80% Mohair, 20% Silk) and ITO Shio (100% Wool) are held together for the main part of the body, and Accessory Yarn Masaki KONPEITO (100% Wool) is used for the hem, side bands and turtle neck. The different yarns create a strong visual and haptic contrast of texture. All three yarns are very soft and can be easily worn against the skin. The combination of ITO Shio and Awayuki is light and drapey whereas AYM Konpeito gives strength to the garment construction. The slipover vest is knitted bottom up in a simple intarsia technique, with shoulder shaping. After knitting the front and the back the shoulders are seemed. The sides are linked by using buttons instead of seams, the turtleneck is picked up and knitted in rounds.

YUKI No. 5 is ein gerade geschnittener Pullunder mit Rollkragen.
