Ziggy Dot Blanket
This is a bright and colourful pattern which uses several different stitches to create an assortment of interesting textures. There are contrasting bobbles arranged in chevrons which pop against the navy background, pretty raised ‘berry’ stitches, and striking zigzags made in V-stitch. The variety of the pattern makes it a pleasure to follow.
Materials: The blanket is made with double knit weight yarn and a 4mm hook. I used Stylecraft Special DK for my blanket, but any other DK yarn could be substituted.
I used approximately 570g of the main colour and around 50g each of the four contrast colours.
Tension/ gauge is not critical for this pattern
The blanket is throw size, but the size can be easily adapted for smaller blankets. I have included easy to follow instructions on how to alter the starting chain.
I’ve also used this pattern to make a baby blanket (the grey blanket shown in the photos) This needed about 240g of the main colour and 30g for each contrast colour.
The pattern includes a chart for the bobble stitch section.
This pattern is written in both UK and US crochet terms - you will receive a pdf for each when you purchase the pattern.
