In the spring of 2009, I moved (with my husband and two children) from southeast Texas to London, England. One of the things that has been most enjoyable about living here has been the relative ease of reaching parts of the world that seemed completely remote from the States. We’ve managed quite a bit of travelling, to some absolutely wonderful places – three of these destinations, plus my original and current home towns, serve as the inspiration for these patterns. Each pattern includes a story about the inspiration, and a bit about visiting the city.
The patterns are ordered from easiest to most difficult, so if you are a newer or less confident knitter, you can start at the beginning with the Delhi Beanie. As you gain in confidence, work your way through the book to the Paris Beret. All of the patterns are sized from baby to adult large, so you should be able to find something to suit everyone you want to knit for.
