The Bruton Hoody is knitted in one piece to the armholes, the Fronts and Back are then worked separately to the shoulder. A twisted stitch cable panel goes up the left front to the shoulder. The sleeves are then picked up from the armholes and knitted down to the cuffs, thus minimising the finishing required.

This sweater was inspired by woodland walks in Somerset and Scotland. The photos were taken in a small village just outside my home town in Somerset, called East Woodlands. There are beautiful deciduous woods surrounding the cluster of houses and a church. It’s an idyllic setting, even on a rainy day!

This cowl is finished with a neat i-cord cast off at each end of the tube. The stitch pattern, which is based on hearts of oak, is fully reversible and knitted at a tight gauge to get a firm fabric.

The Japanese lace rib pattern used in these socks is nice and stretchy. The socks are mirrored, so be sure to use the correct chart for your second sock!
