SURI SILK is a decadent, lovely lace-weight yarn often used in conjunction with another yarn to add a little fluff and softness. It is 74 percent baby alpaca and 26 percent silk. Suri Silk is often used as a substitute for mohair, as some people cannot tolerate mohair against their skin. Our Suri Silk is sold in 50 gram skeins - 328 yards (300m). If you knit it single stranded, a size 1-3 US needle works well. Otherwise, if you plan to use two strands of Suri Alpaca held together, a size 5-6 needle works great.
