This simple wine cozy is the perfect small project for those who are new to fair isle. With only 16 rows of stranded knitting, this sweet little cozy is the perfect gift for any Seahawks fan. The pattern is designed for a 750ml wine bottle, but it could easily fit a favorite bottle of liquor.

I have knit a wine cozy for white elephant gift exchanges for the last few years, and it often gets “stolen” around several times. I’m never sure if this is due to the fact that there are booze involved, or that the bottle has its own adorable sweater. ;) This wine cozy is knit in the round. You can use DPNs or a long circular for the magic loop method, which is what I prefer. When you get to the stranded knitting, it is helpful flip the project inside out. This is a nice way to keep your yarn tension loose and even as you work the fair isle pattern.
