Original instructions call for crochet thread Nr. 40 and “Hornstricknadeln Nr. 3” (old German needle size) for a finished cloth 80 cm in diameter.

Cast on 6 stitches, follow chart 1A six times in a round. Follow chart 1B thirty times in a round.

This cloth has the same centre as Marié in Crochet and Fine Knitting: A big range of beautiful and practical patterns for the Crochet and Knitting Enthusiast, however, Marie has the 6 large petals in full and then an edge.
