Heart of the Forest is my loveletter to the woods of Jämtland in Sweden.

It’s a mitten knitted in Colourwork with a thumb gusset and a folded ribbed cuff for a snug and comfortable fit.
One size but easily adjustable. I have knitted my mittens in Rauma finull and also in UllRika 2-ply in natural colours, a locally produced yarn from Jämtland. Both yarns recommended are 175 m/50 g.

Circumference 20 cm and length from ribbing to top of mitten 20 cm in given gauge, 32 sts x 32 rnds.

You will need 3 colours, 30-50 g each in MC and CC1 and 15-20 g in CC2 (the trees).
