I got the inspiration for these jolly Little Boat Socks when I was giftet 2 skeins of blue non super wash, hand dyed sock yarn from Helle at the Danish Dyelot as we met on Osterøy, outside Bergen in Norway last spring. It was as if she gave me woolen threads of sea and sky. I used left over yarns for the red and white.

The Stella mitten is a traditional Scandinavian mitten, knitted in colourwork with wool yarn. It has a sophisticated and well crafted cuff that is knitted with a provisional cast on, a lining, picot folded border and a corrugated rib in two colours. This sock is knitted top down with an afterthought heel. It’s knitted in 3 colours, but only 2 at a time.

The mitten Faith, Hope & Love is knitted in three colours with a Latvian braid as a detail between the cuff and the mitten. On the inside of the mitten, you can find the symbol of Faith, Hope & Love so that you always carry it with you as a reminder of what is really important.

This is a Mystery Knitalong. We will be knitting a hat and the pattern will be released in 4 separate clues, one each week before Christmas.

The Summer Puzzle Shawl is released in pieces during July and August 2022, like in a Mystery Knitalong. I am calling this a Puzzle Knitalong instead, as I have shown the shawl already.

Shine socks is a sock knitted top down, with a heel flap and gusset. The gusset is placed under the foot instead of on each side. The stranded colourwork is a traditional Scandinavian optic pattern, easy to memorize with short strands.

This is a pattern for both a hat and a pair of mitts. The hat is available in 2 sizes, circumference 44.5 (53.5) cm.

With a rhythm like the beating of the heart and my steps on the soft path through the woods, I am knitting my hat with all the firs of the forest and the heart hidden among the trees. I am guarding my heart, for everything I do flows from it.

Between The Lines Hat is a beanie in a collection where you can also find Between The Lines Mittens and Mitts. During fall 2021, there will also be a shawl pattern in the same collection.

Between The Lines Mittens is a striped mitten pattern written for three sizes, It is also adjustable to knit as a half mitten. The possibilities to combine colors are endless, as the gaps in between, that we can step into, to live and experience a bit more.

When the to do lists are long and the piles are piling up high, I might sit down and knit a very tiny mitten. As if I need to make the world around me shrink. Limit the amount of stitches. Give myself a frame and inside it, I find freedom, joy and creativity.

Musikant is an old Swedish word for a musician and this half mitten is perfect to warm your hands and at the same time be able to play an instrument, serve a nice meal, caress someone’s cheek, help a child or maybe knit more mittens while enjoying the spring evening.

Soft Snow is a mitten pattern that uses worsted weight yarn, knitted in two colors. The white represents the snowflakes and the snowdrifts.
