This lace weight scarf is knit using a famous old stitch. It is a simple garter stitch with yarn over stitches that create the flow of the stitches. It is perfect for use with variegated yarns. It also makes a lovely summer accessory. The scarf is edged using a simple single crochet stitch. Adding beads to a single crochet stitch is clearly explained within the pattern.

The scarf pictured here is 8 X 68, and is made using Helen’s Lace from Lorna’s Laces in Gold Hill.

Skill Level: For the scarf with no edging: Beginner (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting and yarn overs)

Skill Level for the edging: Beginner (assuming a good working knowledge of a single crochet stitch.)
