This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It knits up fairly quickly and would make the ideal gift, for yourself of someone that’s special to you. It is made up of three different lace stitches that are both written out line by line, and charted. The final size is 24 inches by 74 inches. All three of the stitches are from the Shetland type of knitting, and the edging is knitted on, again, as is more common with the Shetland shawls.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Handmaiden’s Lofty 2-6 in colorway periwinkle.

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Cathy B, who can be contacted at: hooksandstitcks@gmail.com.
