Norfolk Ramblers
Norfolk Ramblers incorporate a subtle lace flowing between panels of the Ringwood stitch pattern. The balance of the masculine Ringwood stitch and feminine openwork give these socks surprisingly unisex touch.
The Ringwood stitch pattern adds a bit of strength to the openwork of the eyelets, to make them comfy enough for a bit of a ramble across the countryside. On the other hand, the eyelet panels complement the masculine Ringwood panels, to make them smart enough for men, for an evening of champagne and the theatre. Together, this makes these a perfect gift for the couple who shares everything.
Perhaps my two favourite features, however, are the round Welsh heel and the decorative toe. While you can take or leave the interlocking diamond pattern that adorns the toe (I do understand the concern surrounding dressing fragile lace around the tips of toes), I urge you to try out the Welsh heel, which cups the bottom of the heel for a perfect fit.
‘Norfolk Ramblers’ is the seventeenth pattern to be released under the Loumms Year of Socks. Check out our website for more Loummsy offerings!
